DI Dr. Christoph SCHMIDL<\/strong><\/p>\n

Christoph Schmidl, born in 1982, graduated in chemical engineering from the University Fresenius in Idstein (Germany) and received a Ph.D. in technical chemistry from the Vienna University of Technology.<\/p>\n

After 5 years of research in the fields of atmospheric chemistry and emissions from biomass combustion at the Vienna University of Technology Christoph Schmidl started to work as senior researcher at the Austrian biomass competence centre Bioenergy2020+ in 2009. Following 4 years of leading a research group on small-scale biomass combustion systems, he became head of the Area Combustion Systems at Bioenergy2020+ in 2014. Since 2016 Christoph Schmidl is scientific advisor at Bioenergy2020+.<\/p>\n

Furthermore in 2013 Christoph Schmidl was appointed head of the master degree programme \u201cRenewable Energy Systems and technical Energy Management\u201d at the University of applied sciences Wr. Neustadt (Austria) and gives lectures at the University of technology Graz (Austria) and the University of applied forest sciences Rottenburg (Germany).<\/p>\n

Christoph Schmidl is member of several national industry boards and standardization groups. He joined IEA Bioenergy Task 32 in 2016.<\/p>\n
