Pierre-Louis Bombeck, Gembloux, Belgium

Pierre-Louis Bombeck is a young forest engineer who received his Master degree at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (Liège University, Belgium) in 2013.

After working 4 years as researcher in Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech in wood biorefining and new high added value products from wood paper pulp industry, he chose to head towards bioenergy and works now for ValBiom as wood energy project manager. He is in charge of the task “bioenergy facilitator” for the Walloon regional public administration. His role is to advise end users (private individuals, companies, communities) in their wood energy project regarding legislation, supply & technologies, but also help to structure and develop the local sector to have strong and safe industry. In this task, Pierre is also led to help the Walloon Government in the renewable energy plan and other energy policy matters.

He joined IEA Bioenergy Task 32 in 2017.
